Don’t miss this year’s Books on the Lake featuring authors, Bonnie Jo Campbell and Brendan Slocumb, May 11 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe (32 Lake Shore Drive Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236). Books will be available to purchase at the event courtesy of Book Beat.
Campbell is a Michigan native. Her latest book, The Waters, was chosen as Jenna Bush Hager’s January 2024 book club pick. She’s also written Once Upon a River and Q Road, as well as several short fiction collections.
Slocumb, a native of North Carolina, has a degree in music education and plays the violin and viola. His two novels are The Violin Conspiracy and Symphony of Secrets. He’s working on this third novel slated for publication in 2025.
When you purchase your tickets online, starting Monday, April 8 at 9 a.m., you will pick your own seat(s), just like you do for a concert or the theatre. If you are going as a group, please purchase all the tickets at the same time so you can sit together. We will not be able to change your seats after you buy them.
Tickets are $40 per person and include a brunch buffet.
